Job Purpose:
A Food Sector Quality Assurance (QA) Officer ensures products meet quality and safety standards by
conducting audits, inspections, and tests, maintaining records, and collaborating with teams to address
issues and implement improvements.
Key duties :
- Inspects and ensures high quality of product which matches pre-determined specifications.
- Investigates customer complaints and any non-conformance issues.
- Prepares reports, compiles and maintains records on product quality status, and all tests and inspections that have been conducted.
- Implements food tests and maintains schedule of testing.
- Inspects the facility to ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained in order to meet food
- safety requirements.
- Assures ongoing compliance with quality and food safety regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers
- Determines methods to resolve any quality or food safety compliance issues that arise
- Lead traceability investigations on the source of quality lapses and other product issues.
- Participate in quality management system reviews and promote quality and food safety policies to
- all personnel.
- Review reports and develop guidelines and standard practices for data documentation and
- analysis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or degree in Food Safety and Quality Assurance.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of HACCP principles, ISO 22000 and QA processes.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new food safety practices and innovations.
- Enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and contributes to shared goals
