PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Adminstrative & Compliance Assistant play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of an organisation by providing administrative support across various functions and he will ensure that the organisation will operate efficiently in adhrence to relevant regulations and policies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Application and Renewal of license, Trademarks
- Liase with banks regarding corporate accounts for charges and ensure Know your
- customer (KYC) procedures and files are up to date and compliant.
- Assist in the preparation of meetings and draft minutes of meeting.
- Renewal of Insurance covers and policies.
- General administrative duties (such as file creation and maintenance of ongoing administrative projects.
- Ensure continued compliance with the requirements of relevant laws and
- regulations subject to the ongoing oversight of the board and senior management.
- Regular reporting, including reporting of non-compliance, to senior management.
- Contribute to maintaining internal compliance manuals, policies, procedures and systems.
- Keep up to date with, understand and monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.
- Highlight or escalate areas of concern;
- Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues;
- Assist in the gathering of internal information in response to regulatory requests;
- Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls within the organisations;
- Inform employees on not only the regulations, but also the impact on the organisations if these aren't complied with;
- Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance.
Qualifications Degree/ Certificate:
Law & Management or a similar field preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Good communication and writing skill.
Preferred Experience 2+ years of experience as Administrative and Compliance Assistant or in a similar position
