- To ensure the cleanliness of hotel linen, uniforms and guest laundry.
- To collect, clean and iron hotel linen, uniforms and guest laundry as per the hotel standard.
- To fill in required sheets, booklets and logbooks.
- To report any non-conformance to the Linen supervisor or head housekeeper.
- Inspects and clean laundry carts.
- Folds laundry and places in appropriate storage.
- Load washers with soap and other additives.
- Set washer and dryer settings appropriately for the load.
- Loads and unloads machines.
- Spot cleans linen, etc., as needed.
- Inspects all laundry for wear and removes worn articles.
- Communicates issues, concerns, complaints, compliments, and suggestions to supervisor or head housekeeper
- Receive, sort, count, store and issue all F & B and room linen according to established procedures.
- Assist in inventory taking.
- Assist in repairing linen.
- Report damages and loss of linen to laundry supervisor.
- Maintain linen room and equipment in proper state of cleanliness and repair.
- Maintain records of new linen, discarded linen and issues.
- Comply with Hotels health, safety and hygiene policy and adhere to conduct personal grooming and hygiene standards.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.
- Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers.
