Sales Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Sales Supervisor is responsible for managing relationships with key supermarket chains, driving sales, and ensuring that products are consistently stocked and prominently displayed on supermarket shelves. This role involves negotiating terms, managing product placement, and collaborating with the sales team to optimize in-store performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with supermarket chains and key retail partners.
- Lead negotiations with supermarket managers and buyers to secure favorable product placement, pricing, and promotional deals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets for supermarket chains.
2. Product Availability & Merchandising
- Monitor and ensure products are always in stock and properly displayed on shelves.
- Address any out-of-stock issues in a timely manner to avoid sales losses.
- Work closely with supermarket staff to maintain optimal product visibility and shelf space.
3. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis
- Track market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Provide insights on customer preferences and purchasing behavior to enhance sales strategies.
4. Promotions & Campaigns
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute in-store promotions, product launches, and advertising campaigns.
- Ensure promotional materials are effectively placed and utilized in stores.
5. Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Prepare regular sales reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze sales performance and recommend strategies to optimize results.
6. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the internal sales team to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment.
- Support the team in achieving overall sales targets and business objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales or retail management, preferably within the supermarket or FMCG industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
