Job Purpose:
The job incumbent will have the responsibility to deliver the best possible compassionate basic nursing care to all respective patients.
Key duties:
- Keeping the Charge Nurse informed of all relevant issues concerning patients under his or her care (the Charge Nurse must be able to keep Doctors informed at all times).
- Answering patients bell very promptly.
- Ensure proper documentation and coordinate billing process.
- Patient rounds as and when requested by superior.
- To ensure that the privacy of patients is respected at all times (by keeping noise level in corridors as low as possible, by always closing patients room.
- Ensuring smooth admission and discharge process of patients.
- To carry out all relevant tasks, namely the making of beds, bathing patients, removing bedpans, etc.
- To monitor patients meals, under the Charge Nurses supervision
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma in Healthcare Level 2 Holder.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
