We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated civil Engineer to join our dynamic team on a renewable 1-year contract basis, focusing on photovoltaic piling and reinforced concrete foundations.
Position Overview:
As a Civil Engineer specializing in photovoltaic piling and reinforced concrete foundations, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of solar energy projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and stability of solar arrays through meticulous planning, analysis, and execution of piling and foundation systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and engineering of photovoltaic piling systems, including selection of appropriate piling materials, specifications, and installation methods.
- Develop detailed plans and specifications for reinforced concrete foundations, considering site-specific conditions and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive structural analyses and assessments to ensure the stability, durability, and performance of foundation systems under various loading conditions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and construction personnel, to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during the construction phase, overseeing piling installation, concrete pouring, and quality assurance processes.
- Perform site inspections and evaluations to identify potential risks, resolve engineering challenges, and optimize construction methodologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in renewable energy and civil engineering to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Relevant certificates in the field of equipment commissioning; experience in the construction of photovoltaic projects; experience in commissioning positions;
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS) and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design principles.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
